Advantech releases fanless touch panel computers with RoHS compliance
The eAutomation Group of Advantech has extended its robust TPC product line by introducing the new TPC-66S 5.7" QVGA STN LCD and TPC-66T 5.6" QVGA TFT LCD fanless touch panel computers. These new models provide an industrial-grade, slim design with the same light form factor as previous TPCs, as well as featuring RoHS compliance.
With Advantech's experience in fanless system designs, the TPC-66S/66T feature innovative features, such as adopting the XScale PXA270 416 MHz processor, which minimises power consumption without compromising on performance.
Designed to run applications under Microsoft Windows CE .NET, or as a thin-client, the TPC-66S/66T come equipped with 64 MB flash memory and CompactFlash slot for vibration resistant storage. TPC-66S has a complete I/O interface that features three serial ports (two full RS-232, one 4-pin RS-232/RS-485), one Ethernet port (10/100Base-T) and two USB ports (one for host, and one for client).
The TPC-66S/66T also use a higher-quality LCD panel, offering high luminance at 400 and 500 cd/m2, respectively. The Windows CE OS platforms offer a flexible open HMI environment for system integration solutions, such as Thin-Client applications. Furthermore, like all Advantech TPC products, the TPC-66S/66T are designed for harsh environments and have a NEMA4/IP65 compliant front panel, making them better value than similar products in the market.
The combination of the TPC series with thin client software makes it possible to save costs when implementing interfaces in the field. The TPC-66S/66T can be used to provide decentralised interfaces to control local as well as external processes.
With the features described above, TPC-66S/66T are mainly engineered for system control interfaces, such as those found in machine automation, intelligent transport systems (ITS) and food industries.
