Leading global manufacturer of embedded platform solutions, Advantech presents its first industrial Projected Capacitive Touch (PCT) display kit.
Designed for reliable multi-tasking, Advantech’s new IDK-1115P supports two-point simultaneous touch operation and is perfectly suited to multi-touch applications such as gaming and retail kiosks.
The industrial projected capacitive touch screens deliver great ROI with their protective surface preventing damage from impact, scratches or dust, and sustaining long-term operation even in harsh environments.
Featuring a 15” XGA 400-nit industrial grade panel, the IDK-1115P offers maximum mechanical design flexibility, and proven compatibility with Advantech embedded boards and systems.
Projected Capacitive Touch (PCT), one of the most common touch solutions in commercial electronics, has gradually migrated to industrial applications. A more intuitive user experience and enhanced durability of the touch screen when compared to traditional touch solutions are some of the advantages of the PCT. The IDK-1115P accurately senses the input of a light touch or gloved finger and offers real-time response.
In addition, IDK-1115P supports a two-point multi-touch function, offering more alternatives for applications such as gaming and retail kiosks. Another advantage of Projected Capacitive Touch is its surface shield, which protects the panel and touch sensor from external impact and environmental changes, enabling the IDK-1115P to withstand frequent, constant use, even when its surface is scratched or broken.
IDK-1115P features a 400-nit, XGA (1024 x 768) display with LED backlight. The 400-nit brightness and 700:1 contrast ratio display together offer much better visibility than common displays, particularly in semi-outdoor environments. A wide operating temperature range of -20°C ~ 70°C makes the IDK-1115P suitable for harsh environments.
