Advantech has introduced new models in its range of medical-grade computing terminals, POC-155, POC-175 and POC-195. All Advantech point-of-care terminals are certified to UL60601-1, EN60601-1 and IEC60601-1 standards for low-current-leakage, making them suitable for use in sensitive environments such as operating theatres, intensive care units and patient bedsides.
Replacing the popular POC-154 and POC-174 models, the POC-155 and POC-175 feature 15” and 17” LCDs respectively. All POC-1X5 provide extensive connectivity with 4 COM ports, 6 USB 2.0 ports, a PCI bus slot, a mini PCI slot, a 100 megabit LAN port, gigabit LAN port and optional 802.11b/g wireless LAN.
Intel Pentium M processors up to 2.0 GHz and up to 2 GB of RAM provide scalable processing power that meets medical application needs. All Advantech Point-of-care terminals are sealed against water and dust, and feature on/off buttons that are seamlessly integrated into the front panel for easy cleaning.
The POC-195 features a 19” LCD with an outstanding 1300:1 contrast ratio, making it ideal for medical imaging applications. A book light and optional alarm light, trim knob and touchscreen make the POC-195 easy to use.
The optional trim knob enables medical professionals to precisely control specific parameters such as dosage, while the optional touchscreen provides a convenient interface that is easier to clean than a keyboard and mouse. The touchscreen on/off button makes the seamless front panel easy to clean by allowing the touchscreen to be temporarily disabled during cleaning.
