Advantech has devoted itself to perfecting industrial platform solutions for over two decades, and has released its recent 4U rackmount chassis, the IPC-630.
The IPC-630 represents the first in a line of new silver coloured chassis that focus not only on reliability, but also compactness and aesthetics. The IPC-630 offers comprehensive support for both PICMG 1.0/1.3 backplanes up to 15 slots, as well as ATX motherboards. Two front USB ports and one front COM port offer exceptional I/O connectivity.
Activated by a unique self-monitoring module, the four LEDs on the IPC-630 front panel display system displays health and the activity status of power supplies, system fans, hard disks and thermal conditions.
A wide range of power options, from single PS/2 300W/400W to redundant 300W/400W power supplies, provide customers great flexibility during the planning stages. The IPC-630 is an ideal general purpose solution for a diverse spectrum of applications.
The IPC-630’s clever mechanical design can accommodate an ATX motherboard or backplane with up to 15 slots. The shockproof disk drive housing and rubber cushions protect the three front-accessible 5.25” and two 3.5” drive bays against harsh industrial environments, while the lockable front door secures the unit against unauthorised access. Nylon air filters are much more durable and easy to care for than traditional sponge materials.
The outstanding mechanical innovation is the newly-added screw holes located between the card-guiding rails; the screw holes are designed to fix a full-sized CPU card firmly onto the chassis, strengthening the overall system design.
Finally, for customers who would like to take advantage of Advantech’s complete customisation abilities, an interchangeable logo panel is provided to allow customers to place corporate logos onto the chassis. One blank customisable logo panel is included in the package.
