SA1750CR metal overlay abrasion resistant plates set the industry standard worldwide for controlling abrasive wear. All the metal alloys used in the creation of SA1750CR metal overlay plates are custom blended, enabling quality control from start to finish.  

SA1750CR is a chromium carbide overlay plate consisting of hypereutectic matrix with up to 40% chromium carbides that are metallurgically fused to an appropriate steel substrate.  

SA1750CR metal overlay abrasion resistant plates have outperformed competitor products in various mining applications including:

Magnetic particle inspection needs to be performed to identify cracks that cannot readily be detected through visual inspection. The inside cheek, outer sidewall and the scroll of the bucket can be stripped of the worn strips and replaced with large continuous plates of SA1750CR, providing fewer seams for wear, enhancing the material flow and allowing less material to stick to the bucket surface.
