Composites
Lightweight fibre reinforced polymers are difficult to machine with conventional cutting tools and the laser cutter has non-contact cutting properties, which are more readily suited to them.

Rubber
The laser cutter quickly vapourises both natural gum and synthetic rubber in thickness up to 19mm allowing precise cutting for items such as gaskets.

Wood
Timber, plywood and particle board all have advantages, when cut with the efficiency of a laser.
