MATTHEWS Australasia has expanded the range of solutions it offers to manufacturing, packaging and logistics operations, with four major new product introductions.
The new product acquisitions include the Novexx range of label applicators manufactured in Germany by Avery Dennison.
The Novexx range of in-line label applicators features high levels of reliability, sophisticated electronics and a wide range of application speeds and label sizes.
The Novexx range is suitable for horizontal or vertical application of labels to virtually any product, including bottles, caps, containers, cartons and trays.
In a significant development, Matthews has formed an alliance with the Australian arm of Danish thermal-transfer coding technology company, Easyprint.
Considered to be one of the most technically advanced of its peers, Easyprint has rapidly gaining worldwide market share with their intermittent, continuous and the unique transverse model thermal printers.
A key feature is the stepper motor control for thermal ribbon advance speeds, which can dramatically reduce consumption of ribbon consumables. The Easyprint range is capable of printing at continuous speeds up to 1000mm/second, at a print width of 125mm.
The transverse model is able to print messages on to the full width of a 600mm wide packaging web, creating significant equipment savings. The new Linx 6800 CIJ printer will also be released shortly, featuring advanced software to allow the simplest operator interface available.
With hot keys for faster message entry, a short ink flight path for superb print quality with increased print heights, the Linx 6800 is clearly the leader in its class.
Matthews Australasia will also release shortly the world's first RFID equipped label printer applicator. The technologically advanced Fox IV LPA writes to an RFID tag embedded in a label, in addition to thermal printing the face of the label. Matthews Australasia 1800 333 074.
