Ergonomics course offered by AdvanceOHS offers participants with skills as well as knowledge in order to set up office workstations in order to minimize the risk of overuse injuries. The first aid –senior course provided by AdvanceOHS is a one day workcover and VETAB accredited course that covers the outcome required in order to recognize as well as respond to emergency with the help of basic support measures. The working knowledge of first aid senior consists of basic principles and concepts underlying the practice of first aid, priorities of management in first aid when dealing with life threatening conditions, procedures for dealing with major and minor injury and illness.
The working knowledge of first aid senior also includes basic occupational health and safety requirements in the provision of first aid, chain of survival, infection control principles and procedures, including use of standard precautions, understanding of the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), including when to use and when not to use, first aiders’ skills and limitations. The forklift training one day course from AdvanceOHS is designed to suit students who have driven a forklift previously but does not hold a workcover licence or persons who has a New Zealand Licence.
