Elesta relays extends SIS relays range by type SIS112 for safety-relevant applications

Elesta relays has extended its SIS range of relays by the type SIS112 for safety-relevant applications in which, a low pollution of the environment, a small design volume and a minimal coil capacity are specified.

The relay, equipped with two switching contacts (1 NO / 1 NC) is driven by a sensitive operating mechanism, with a nominal coil capacity of only 275 mW. Measuring a mere 29.2 x 16.6 x 16.3 mm (lxwxh), this relay sealed according to protection class RTIII is particularly suitable for power-saving control systems.

Typical application areas are radio remote controls, sensor engineering products, accumulator-operated devices, construction machinery; mining, off-shore and conveying equipment, as well as photoelectric cell and access control systems, and medical appliances.

The gold-plated contacts permit to safely switch currents of 5mA to 6A. An above-average resistance to shock and vibrations as well as high insulation values between control contact and power contact make the relay highly suitable for use in automotive engineering, the chemical industry (EEx area) and telecontrol / teleoperation systems.

Like many relays of Elesta, the SIS112 corresponds to the application type A according to the applicable DIN standard EN 50205 for relays with forcibly guided contacts. The miniature relay is approved by SEV, UL, cUL and TUeV.
