AES to demonstrate iPD vision appliances at NMW 2007



iPD automated product and label inspection systems
Adept Electronic Solutions (AES) will be demonstrating its new iPD automated product and label inspection systems on Stand 3822 during National Manufacturing Week 2007 at Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, from May 22 to 25.

iPD’s stated focus for the development of the new vision appliances was power with ease of use. Simple yet powerful interfaces give production personnel the control to maintain their inspection tasks cost effectively.

iPD vision appliances are supplied fully supported or as turnkey systems through a network of Australian and New Zealand vision systems integration companies.

The stand will also feature a full range of machine vision cameras including the new digital cameras with Firewire, GigE and Cameralink outputs, optics and lighting, software and other accessories required for successful machine vision systems.

DALSA’s novel dual linescan CCD breaks this trend. By doubling sensitivity with only a √2 increase in shot noise, the design delivers a greater signal to noise ratio, especially in light-starved situations. Functionally similar to TDI arrays, the design consists of two parallel arrays of photodiode pixels. Each pixel is connected to a selectable delay gate that either allows charges through or delays the charges by one scan line. Signal electrons from the two arrays (one of which has been delayed) are then combined on-chip into a single output (with no increase in amplifier noise). Because the delay is selectable, the sensor allows bidirectional scanning. The design also preserves conventional linescan features such as exposure control and high blue response. This dual linescan CCD is available from Adept Electronic Solutions.
