Available from Acrodyne the Aunspach Controls Torque Master Handwheel Overtorque Protector, observing that many valves and actuators are damaged each year by excess operating torque.

The valve overtorque protectors eliminates high costs of excavation, valve repair, system downtime and traffic disruption.

The valve overtorque protectors are mounted between the handwheel of a manual actuator or on the manual override of an electric or pneumatic actuator.

They will transmit operating torque but, if a pre-set torque is exceeded, will de-clutch and prevent damage. The drive will re-engage automatically, at the original set point, upon further rotation in either direction.
