SWARF-Tech, a division of the Acora Reneco Group , will be showing solutions for swarf management and processing systems - which allow companies to gain numerous benefits through recycling - on Stand 3007 during National Manufacturing Week 2006 at Sydney's Darling Harbour, from May 30 to June 2.
Swarf-Tech offers three swarf recycling methods:
* Closed loop, which involves in-house re-melting, and which commonly increases melt yields by 20% when comparing briquettes to loose swarf.
* Sale to scrap metal merchant: Customers can generally command a 15-20% premium for briquette swarf, because of reduced transport and storage costs for the scrap dealer.
* Direct to recycler: If the production rate is high, customers may be able to deal direct with a recycler or smelter.
According to Swarf-Tech, a company can gain numerous benefits by implementing a total swarf management and processing system.
For example, by recycling and recovering oils/coolants normally wasted, results include lower waste disposal costs, reduced environmental risk and safer working conditions.
