The Aconex Online Collaboration Platform has been adopted by leading Australian property and investment group, FKP for the development of Gasworks Newstead, a master-planned urban community near the Brisbane River in Queensland.
Aconex provides some of the world's most widely used project collaboration solutions for the construction, infrastructure, power, mining, and oil and gas industries.
FKP is using the Aconex Online Collaboration Platform to manage documents, drawings, requests for information (RFIs), specifications, and other project communications. More than 36,000 documents and drawings have already been registered on the platform, which currently serves over 200 users from approximately 80 different organisations. The platform stores and tracks all versions of project files and correspondence, which are easy to search and captured in a permanent audit trail.
Max Manoiloff, senior design manager at FKP Constructions explained that managing large data files was a key challenge in managing the project. With several RFIs, documents and drawings too difficult to handle through email and FTP sites, FKP adopted the Aconex solution that helps them coordinate, control and track all project data with accuracy and efficiency.
The Aconex Online Collaboration Platform was selected after evaluating and using a number of competitive solutions. The FKP project team also found the platform easy to learn and use.
