An inground axle weighbridge from Accuweigh was recently commissioned at Total Transports Brooklyn depot in Victoria. The axle weighbridge will make sure that all trucks leaving the depot will comply with legal axle weights, eliminating the risk of trucks incurring fines for overloaded axle groups.
For easy truck access, the fully galvanised axle weighbridge is mounted inground and level with the concrete hardstand. The axle weighbridge measures 4 metres long by 3 metres wide and is for non-trade use only. The axle weighbridge has a weighing capacity of 30 tonnes.
A R5000 digital weight indicator generates the weight readings of the axle weighbridge which are then transmitted to a Rinstrum D740 large digit remote display to allow the drivers to also see the weight readings of each axle group.
Hard copies of all truck axle weighings are generated by a tally roll printer that is connected to the axle scales. The hard copies are for added compliance with the recently introduced Chain of Responsibility Legislation.
