Existing crane scales received increased functionality thanks to the addition of a wireless hand held controller. The Dillon crane scales were originally supplied to One Steel by Accuweigh’s Perth branch as stand alone crane scales.
The crane scale operators soon became aware of the difficulty in reading the weight display on the crane scale’s body when picking up larger bundles of steel. An optional Dillon Communicator wireless hand held remote control was purchased to ensure the operator can view the crane scale’s weight readings from any distance.
The Dillon Communicator has the ability to display the weight readings of up four individual crane scales at one time and also to mimic their key operations to allow the operator to perform crane scale functions such as zero, tare & print via the hand held device. The acquired weight readings from the crane scales can then be transferred over a wireless network to a host PC for logging purposes.
Accuweigh is Australia’s largest industrial weighing company and has eight branches covering all mainland states providing sales and service support on crane scales, weighbridges and all industrial weighing applications.
