Accuweigh’s Adelaide branch recently supplied a set of bench scales to South Australia’s largest confectioner, Robern Menz at Glyde. The bench scales are used for weighing precise amounts of the raw ingredients used in the manufacture of their highly regarded range of confectionery.

The FG-31 bench scales with a capacity of 30kg in increments of 0.001kg from A&D Mercury were supplied to replace an aging set of bench scales that had failed and were deemed to be un-economical to repair. The A&D FG-31 bench scales are available in both floor mount with a column for floor mounting or as a bench mount with the display connected directly to the weighing scale.

The bench version of this scale was ideal for this application as the weight readings are in plain view of the operator thanks to the tilt feature of the display. Another prominent feature of the FG bench scale which increases operator efficiency is an environmental setting which can eliminate display flickering caused by external vibration affecting the scales weight readings.

Accuweigh is Australia’s largest industrial weighing company and has branches in all mainland states providing complete after sales service and support on bench scales, industrial scales and weighing equipment of all types.
