Accuweigh’s Adelaide branch recently supplied a batch controller to SP Hay on South Australia’s Yorke Peninsula. The batch controller is used for filling bulka bags with hay.
For cost effectiveness, a single Ranger 5100 batch controller is connected to two Avery A500 galvanised platform scales via a selector switch. This allows the operator to direct the hay into the empty bulka bag on one platform scale while the filled bay on the other platform scale is being replaced.
SP Hay purchased a batch controller and two 1200mm x 1200mm platform scales and fitted their own metal framework to hold the bulka bags in position. Accuweigh has fully completed batching controllers available, but in this case, the client fitted their own buttons and relays.
SP Hay is a small hay exporting company started by Stuart Price, his parents, cousins and next door neighbour. With the advice and support of Hood Sweeney founding partner Graham Sweeney, that small company grew rapidly and is today one of the largest Australian exporters of hay to Japan.
Accuweigh is an Austalian industrial weighing company and has branches in all mainland states providing complete after sales service and support on batch controllers, bagging systems and all industrial weighing equipment.
