The Axle Weighing Scales from Accuweigh were recently commissioned at the Total Transport Logistics’ Depot in Geelong Road, Brooklyn.
The axle weighing scales were installed to perform two separate functions:
1. To ensure trucks don’t leave depots with an overload thus avoiding consequences derived from the Chain of Responsibility Legislation.
2. To assist compliance with Mass Management requirements which can result in trucks carrying heavier payloads.
Measuring four metres long by three metres wide, the axle weighing scales are mounted in a pit to enable the weighing surface to be flush with the surrounding hardstand for easy truck access. Manufactured with a heavy duty steel deck, the axle weighing scales have a weighing capacity of thirty tons and are fully trade approved. Four heavy duty weighbridge load cells are fitted to the scales with access through metal hatches built into the weighing deck.
Axle scales and weighbridges are Accuweigh’s speciality with full backup and support from experienced weighbridge crews and test units located in eight branches across Australia.
