Accuweigh 's Perth branch recently commissioned truck scales for weighing truckloads of waste being received for processing at Tox Free’s Kwinana site in Western Australia.

Measuring 20m long with a width of 3.5m, these truck scales are being used for weighing shipping containers positioned across the main beams of the truck scales by large Hyster forklifts.

These truck scales are fitted with a concrete deck for optimal traction capabilities in wet and muddy conditions over comparable steel deck truck scales on above ground installations.

Clients are charged for the weight of waste material being received over the truck scales. AASoftware’s Ticket Aid Pro+ truck scale software collates all required data and forwards it to the clients existing Waste Management Software.

Radio Frequency Identification tag readers fitted to the truck scales automatically identify the client’s own vehicles to minimise operator input when generating weighing transactions.

The external remote displays on Tox Free’s truck scales also contain the traffic lights which control access to both incoming and outgoing trucks using the truck scales.
