Accuweigh supplied a custom wheel weighing solution to increase truck assembly efficiency at Iveco’s Dandenong truck assembly plant in Victoria.
Designed for accuracy and convenience, Accuweigh’s custom wheel weighing solution displays the weight on all wheels on a single control panel, eliminating the need for assembly staff to manually check the weight display on each individual wheel weigher.
Supplied by Accuweigh’s Melbourne branch, the custom weighing solution comprises of eight individual wheel weighers, each connected to separate digital weight indicators.
Weight readings from each weight indicator are captured by a digital summing indicator to display the total vehicle weight and relay the weight readings to a PC for logging or quality control purposes.
All weighing electronics are mounted in a single control panel to allow assembly staff to readily identify the load on each wheel when truck components are being positioned to achieve optimum weight distribution and truck balance.
The wheel weigh pads measure 600mm x 600mm each with a weighing capacity of 5,000 kg. Larger weighing capacities are also available in the wheel weigh pads.
In addition to providing individual wheel weighers for custom wheel weighing solutions, Accuweigh can also supply fully inground wheel weighing systems for high accuracy weighing of vehicles sharing common wheelbase and axle positioning.
One of Australia’s major industrial weighing equipment companies, Accuweigh operates a network of eight branches across all mainland states, providing sales and service support on wheel weighers, axle weighbridges as well as all types of industrial scales and weighing equipment.
