The Adelaide branch of Accuweigh Checkweighers, Metal Detection and X-Ray Food Inspection Systems recently supplied two inline checkweighers to Johnson Asahi joint venture plants in Kapunda SA and Horsham VIC.
The two inline checkweighers are being used for checkweighing bales of hay and straw before being exported. The bale weights are transmitted from the checkweighers to a PC for logging and quality control processes.
Four heavy duty Kelba load cells with rubber mounts are fitted to the weigh frame to eliminate vibration from the conveyor line to ensure that fast and accurate weight reading can be attained by the industrial inline checkweighing system.
Inline checkweighers from Accuweigh are based on A&D Mercury 4404 high speed checkweighing controllers that ensure high accuracy at a reasonable price. The controllers are mounded inside a steel cabinet that is fitted with large industrial control buttons that are used initiate and stop the checking process.
