The Port Adelaide branch of Accuweigh recently supplied two sets of digital bench scales to Balfours Bakery in Dudley Park, South Australia. The digital scales will be used for checking the weight of pies and pasties to make sure the food products meet the strict quality standards of Balfours.

Random samples of pies and pasties are taken directly from the oven and while they are still very hot to touch are then placed on the digital scales. A&D’s SK-5000 digital bench scales are an ideal solution for this particular weighing application due to the fully temperature compensated weighing electronics that ensures accurate weighings are achieved.

A&D Mercury’s SK-5000 digital scales have a capacity of 5000g by 1g divisions with a large clear liquid crystal display and are battery powered for portability with separate keys for Power and Re-Zero. The Auto Power Off function and Low Battery indicator help to extend the life of the battery.
