Digital Crane Scales

The Salter branch of Accuweigh in Melbourne recently supplied a set of digital crane scales to a NSW tent manufacturer to enable correct tensioning of support cables on large tents.

The digital crane scales with shackles were supplied to MPP Industries in Albury to facilitate precision adjustments to cable tensions that were carried out to increase tent stability under strong winds.

The digital crane scales were connected to each support cable in turn, to display the exact cable tension which could then be adjusted by turnbuckles to ensure optimum tent stability was achieved. The weighing capacity of the crane scales is 1000kg and is displayed in 1kg divisions.

The Dillon ED digital crane scales are ideal for this application as they are battery powered and fully portable. A large 26mm high LCD screen is used to display the weight readings and is ideal for use in bright sunlight.
