X-ray inspection machines and food inspection systems

Accuweigh is the exclusive re-seller of Applied Sorting’s X-Ray Food Inspection Equipment - a local Australian X-Ray machines manufacturer based in Melbourne. All X-Ray equipment are powered by an industrial grade PC with data management software including full statistical reporting. A large colour monitor clearly displays an image of every scan in real time with full image retrival capabilities of the last 20 scans without affecting production.
Because Applied Sorting X-ray inspection systems and X-Ray technology are built in Australia, against individual customer orders, the company is able to offer a range of  components like PLC’s, switch gear, drive motors, gear boxes and VSD’s. Applied Sorting can work with their customer’s engineering team to ensure the installed system satisfies their OH&S requirements and food safety standards with their X-rays.

Applied Sorting presently manufactures four standard models of X-ray food inspection systems as well as being able to build special machines to suit individual customer’s requirements. 

The XR-3000C is an X-Ray inspection machine used for large, heavy products; such as 27kg cartons of meat, 20kg cartons of cheese, bags of milk powder, cases of dairy products, packaged foods and beverages. 

The XR-3000J is used for X-Ray scanning of products packed in glass or plastic jars and bottles and metal cans. Applications include sauces, pickles, preserves, spreads, beverages, canned meals, fruits and baby foods. 

The XR-3000L for X-Ray inspection of continuous stream loose product on a belt e.g. diced or minced meat, poultry, seafood, dried fruits, nuts and grains. Also for small, light weight packets and sachets e.g. frozen confectionery, potato crisps, cake mixes, powdered beverages and bakery products.  

The XR-3000P inspects packaged food products including snack foods, dairy products, frozen vegetables, prepared meals, powdered sauces and beverages, bakery products.
