Access Industries for the Disabled specialises in providing services for various disabled people. Access Industries for the Disabled has been offering services for disabled people for about 60 years. This organisation had been set up in 1949 by a certain group of disabled people and was formerly known as Civilian Maimed and Limbless Association. Access Industries for the Disabled organisation works as a self help group that provides the necessary help required by disabled people. Access Industries for the Disabled ensures to provide employment opportunities for several disabled people thereby helping them to earn a livelihood. These employment opportunities enable the disabled people to enhance their work skills thereby increasing their personal as well as financial independence.
Access Industries for the Disabled comprises of four main operational divisions. These four operational divisions include business services, equal access employment service, art union and fundraising as well as general administration. Business services operational division of Access Industries for the Disabled provides supported employment for about 250 disabled people.
Equal access employment service operational division of Access Industries for the Disabled provides employment services to about 150 people having mild intellectual disability.
