Leading Australian supplier of high technology analytical solutions for industry and academia, AXT Pty Ltd has been appointed distributor for Thermo Fisher Scientific products in Australia and New Zealand.
Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is the world leader in a wide range of scientific products, with revenues in excess of US$ 17 billion.
AXT and the Nano-scale Materials Analysis product lines of Thermo Fisher Scientific recently signed a distribution agreement whereby AXT will distribute their Surface Analysis and Microanalysis products, covering both sales and service in the two countries.
The Nano-scale Materials Analysis product lines of Thermo Fisher Scientific manufacture a range of Surface Analysis and Microanalysis products.
The Surface Analysis product line is based in East Grinstead, UK, and includes a range of XPS (X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy) models such as Thermo Scientific K-Alpha+, Thermo Scientific ESCALAB 250Xi and Thermo Scientific Theta Probe. Designed for the analysis of the most complex surfaces, thin films and interfaces, these systems will help analytical researchers advance their understanding of their surface quickly and efficiently with their class leading technology and intuitive, user-friendly, yet powerful software packages.
The Microanalysis product line is based in Madison, Wisconsin, USA, and manufactures a range of microanalysis solutions for electron microscopy including world class EDS/WDS spectroscopy and EBSD solutions. These microanalysis solutions are available as fitments to new systems, or can be retrofitted to existing SEMs.
According to AXT’s Managing Director, Richard Trett, the new partnership with a highly internationally recognised brand helps to extend AXT’s product offering in the materials analysis marketplace.
Kevin Fairfax, Nano-scale Materials Analysis General Manager, Thermo Fisher Scientific comments that they are happy to partner with AXT to distribute their surface science and microanalysis products in Australia and New Zealand. With AXT making substantial inroads in the Australian and New Zealand markets with their existing product range, Thermo Fisher Scientific looks forward to sharing the same success with their products.
