AVisum releases virtual on-screen keyboards for HMI

Supplier News

AVisum introduces a new range of virtual on-screen keyboards and on-screen utilities designed to provide the perfect user interface for touchscreen, pen, handheld and wireless systems.

My-T-Touch is a Windows software program that provides a powerful interface through a touchscreen pointing device by providing on-screen keyboards, user programmable macros, and complete control over all computer functions.

Delivering a natural, intuitive extension to the touchscreen interface, AVisum’s My-T-Touch provides on-screen keyboard emulation that works with any Windows program, making them ideal for network logons, security passwords, ID authentication, production quantity entry, notes, name entry, and any other use that completes custom applications using touchscreens.

AVisum’s My-T-Touch eliminates the need for a physical keyboard, external templates, membranes, or buttons to operate a system, providing the finishing touch on sealed systems that only require a touchscreen interface for user input.

Based on a concept found in fighter planes, helicopters, tanks, and automobiles called ‘Heads Up Display’ technology, which aims to keep the user’s focus and concentration centred in one plane, My-T-Touch reduces the visual re-focusing and re-positioning caused by the heads up and down motion of going from screen to keyboard and back to screen.

My-T-Touch offers a choice of over 45 ‘Heads-Up Display’ keyboards in 12 different sizes including ABCD Alphabetical, QWERTY, 3 DVORAKs, and over 40 international (German, Spanish, French, Hebrew, Russian, Greek, etc.) with Edit and Numeric panels. Key advantages of the My-T-Touch keyboard include minimised keystrokes, mouse clicks and menu selections; up to 2000 keystrokes/menu selections (or the applications macro scripts) stored on each button; and up to 15 buttons grouped on individual panels, which auto-open when their assigned application becomes active.

Assignable functions for pointing:

Device buttons

Assign any of 63 different functions to each button. Popular keys such as Shift, Esc, Enter, Ins and Ctrl can be assigned at anytime.

Pop-up calculator with pop-up tape and send function

A standard 4-function calculator with memory that always stays on top has its own pop-up Tape and Send function and places the display information right into the current document or field.

Built-in magnifier

A built-in magnifier panel can be displayed if required, to show a magnified view of the current area.

Developer friendly

The Developer’s Kit comes with all kinds of utilities, source code, and a wealth of information for integrating My-T-Touch with the developer’s own application.
