Biennial packaging and processing machinery, materials and associated technology exhibition for Australasia, AUSPACK 2009 will showcase a range of Australian manufactured and designed products. In the event, Australian designed Seal and Shrink machine, ZINZINA will be showcased by Diego Barbaro from PackSynergy.
The ZINZINA machine has the capability to shrink the new generation of polyolefin films, minimise the amount of film required, maximise air flow around the pack and reduce shrink time and energy. According to Barbaro, the ZINZINA is designed and manufactured in Australia and will offer minimal capital outlay, improved production results and minimise floor space.
The ZINZINA includes a new generation of PLC Control and Touchscreen operator interface with Ethernet gateway and Fieldbus module for remote control and programming. The machine is designed to open mechanically and close by its own gravity eliminating any possible danger to the operator, to the product or the equipment.
Following are the features of ZINZINA:
- Multi pack cycles
- Sealing bar opening position
- Automatic sealing time compensation
- Stand-by time
- Self diagnostic mode
- Password settings
Viscount Plastics will showcase the Nallyenviropal at AUSPACK 2009. The Nallyenviropal is the only post consumer waste plastic pallet available in Australia. All the post consumer waste is Australian, 70% is Post Consumer HDPE – that is used in milk bottles, 30% is Post Consumer LLDPE – that is used in stretch wrap. Sized to fit the Australian Supply Chain system requirements, the Nallyenviropal is used for supply chain transportation and warehousing across every industry packaging segment and is even suitable for rental pool applications such as CHEP and LOSCOM.
The plastic pallet is lower in weight than a timber pallet which means businesses can enjoy a reduction in OH&S risks and reduced fuel consumption. Timber pallets are normally damaged after 3 trips, but the Nallyenviropal will outperform timber in terms of service life.
On average 1700 tonnes of post consumer waste plastic are eliminated out of landfill due to the manufacture and sale of the Nallyenviropal. The plastic pallet is recyclable at the end of its life – when recycled it can again become a new Nallyenviropal.
AUSPACK will be held at the Sydney Showgrounds, Sydney Olympic Park. AUSPACK is owned and presented by the Australian Packaging Machinery Association.
