AUSPACK 2009 report that they have delivered successful results for both visitors and exhibitors. Visitor attendance was less than 9% down than the previous Sydney AUSPACK 2005 event. However, the owners, the Australian Packaging Machinery Association and the organisers, Exhibitions & Trade Fairs were happy with the results of AUSPACK 2009.
According to Rob Keen, Event Director, Exhibitions & Trade Fairs, many trade shows that have run earlier this year have reported their visitor attendance to be down by 20 to 25%.
AUSPACK 2009 delivered a quality industry audience, with a number of new companies attending and the exhibitors had the opportunity to meet new visitors during the four-day exhibition. It was reported that a number of new projects were discovered by the exhibitors and new visiting companies were able to see, discuss and compare solutions for their projects on the spot. Many of the exhibitors also flew in their industry experts to be on hand so that they were able to clarify visiting manufacturer’s requirements with them at the show.
During AUSPACK 2009, future projects and the purchasing of equipment were being confirmed immediately on-site, as well as during business meetings.
One of the exhibitors, Automatic Palletizing & Filling sold two machines at the AUSPACK 2009 with further orders being placed by the end of the exhibition. According to Automatic Palletizing & Filling, visitors at the AUSPACK 2009 were looking to buy before the 30th June and take advantage of the government rebate.
