ATS invests in pharmaceutical manufacturing execution systems through acquisition in Ireland

Independent solutions provider for manufacturing companies, ATS International B.V. has acquired OceanModus Ltd to form ATS Applied Tech Systems Pty Ltd (ATS Ireland).

ATS International B.V. has over 25 years of experience in deploying IT solutions with established customers such as Carlsberg, FrieslandCampina, Toyota and Centecor.

To be based in Cork, ATS Ireland will be servicing Irish and international customers with plans to create over 20 jobs in the next three years.

OceanModus has already established a customer base within the medical devices and pharmaceutical segments with customers including Boston Scientific, MSD (Merck Sharp & Dohme), Covidien, Amgen and Helsinn Birex Pharmaceuticals.

Michael James, Group Managing Director of ATS International B.V. explains the significance of the Irish market to ATS as the company already has a number of international customers based in the country. The new office in Ireland will also help ATS expand its market share with specific focus on the Life Science as well as the Food and Beverage segments.

The co-founders of OceanModus Ltd, Desmond Savage and Thomas Wyczawski will stay on as directors of the new company.

High-Tech Solutions for Irish and International Manufacturers
ATS Ireland will develop and deploy technologies such as Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) with plans to not only expand its existing presence in Ireland but also attain export sales through close co-operation with the parent company.

ATS Ireland will enable Irish manufacturers to take advantage of international experience and profit from applying highly advanced manufacturing technologies to improve quality, traceability and efficiencies.

This project has been supported by The Cork City Enterprise Board Ltd, an initiative funded by the Irish Government and part-financed by the European Union Structural Funds Programme of 2007 - 2013.
