Easy retrofits with MiCOMho distance relay
AREVA T&D has launched the MiCOMho P445, targeted for sub-transmission and distribution applications. Its advanced technology derives from the P443 transmission model.
The P445 starts in a case as small as 40TE x 4U - just 203mm width - for ease of retrofitting in existing panels.
The P445 makes no compromises, with advanced protection, control and back-up features fitted as standard.
Features include:
* Full scheme five-zone distance protection
* Zone reach settings according to simple percentages of the protected line/cable
* Load blinders to defend the system against load encroachment trips
* Directional earth fault protection (DEF-aided ground schemes) at no extra cost
* Built-in backup protection, recording, autoreclose and check synchronism
* Full control, monitoring and supervision of the circuit breaker
* Integral InterMiCOM64 teleprotection.
InterMiCOM64 allows permissive and blocking-aided schemes to be implemented without the need to purchase costly discrete signaling devices.
With fast 56/64Kbps signaling, the InterMiCOM64 offers 5ms end-to-end performance.
Direct fibre and all common multiplexed protocols are supported (G.703, V.35, X.21, IEEE C37.94TM).
