APS - Alternative Printing Services ' maintenance free coder, the Apsolute, is proving successful with impressive results across the food packaging industry.
Victorian egg producer, Kinross Farm has an Apsolute thermal inkjet coding printer installed to print best before dates on egg cartons. Kinross Farm upgraded their carton coding system in 2008 from a manual sticker application system to the Apsolute thermal inkjet coding printer.
Kinross Farm Grading Manager, Stacey Kingwill is particularly impressed with the reliability and low ink consumption of the Apsolute thermal inkjet coding printer. Running 10,000 cartons per day, Kingwill could not be happier with roughly 700,000 prints per 42ml cartridge, noting that the cost per print is so small, it is difficult to measure.
The Apsolute thermal inkjet coding printer installed at Kinross Farm is saving the egg facility approx half a person per line in labour and ensuring an accurate, clear and precise print application. Kingwill also commends the trouble free operation and the ease of use for operators to change the best before date information.
The Apsolute thermal inkjet coding printer features a no moving parts design and simple ink cartridge technology to ensure a clean, maintenance free coding solution for production lines.
