APS - Alternative Printing Services has introduced their new Apsolute Thermal Inkjet Printer for the first time at Interpack 2011. Interpack 2011 is an international processing and packaging exhibition, which was held in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Following the success of the 2006 launched thermal inkjet printer apsolute, APS has provided a technically leading coding system, which helped reduce operational errors by the user and is especially easy to use. The new Apsolute Thermal Inkjet Printer offers a new printhead type with advanced communication features.

The new Apsolute Thermal Inkjet Printer features an automatic ink type recognition technology, which helps prevent incorrect operating and print parameter settings. The printer offers an accurate measurement of ink levels in order to allow customers to check their current ink status at any time and prepare themselves for a cartridge change.

The new Apsolute Thermal Inkjet Printer can process fast-drying inks and codes packaging materials including varnished or coated cardboard, plastic and aluminium foils, wood, paper, raw board and other porous surfaces. The printer uses print cartridges that enables quick and easy ink changes, and can also be read and reused in production.

The new APS Thermal Inkjet Printer operates on a modular system that is able to control up to four printheads. The system also features no moving parts, which helps eliminate unpredictable breakdowns and jams that can cause production downtime.

Customers can utilise the Apsolute Thermal Inkjet Printer on their packaging with different ink types, print speeds and messages. Its broad and constantly expanding ink range makes this printer suitable for diverse industries such as food and pharmaceuticals, cable, wood and many other production fields. In addition, the printer’s software package offers enhanced control and data transfer options.

The new APS Apsolute Thermal Inkjet Printer is available as a standalone or as a fully integrated version.
