High transfer efficiency spray gun

THE W-300 spray gun from Cormack Anest Iwata is a smaller version of the successful W-400 gravity feed spray gun released two years ago. Designed for ease of use, the W-300 is ideal for use in retouch work, especially for jobs like small panel work.

Filling a gap in the W Series spray gun range, the W-300 is another High TEC (transfer efficiency control) unit which outperforms conventional and, in most instances, HVLP spray guns for transfer efficiency.

Independent tests have confirmed transfer efficiencies of up to 92 per cent. High TEC spray guns are operated at 2 bar inlet pressure to achieve this.

Superior atomisation, coupled with a flat and thin pattern shape, provides excellent colour matching by allowing an even cover of paint over the full pattern width and a speed of application no different than using a conventional spray gun.

At higher atomising pressures, the user can actually reduce air consumption. Reducing air consumption allows the user to save on air production, by requiring smaller compressors and using less energy to produce the air.

Weighing only 403g, with a 20ml cup, the W-300 is very light and manoeuvrable. The unit fits easily in the hand and is designed to reduce operator fatigue.

The W-300 is suitable for water-borne coatings, as all parts of the unit that come in contact with the paint are made from high grade stainless steel.

The unique air cap design and higher atomising pressures make the unit suitable for use not only with water-borne, but also high solids paints.

The W-300 is also available with a 60ml cup, in a range of air caps.
