THE Redpost RPU-300 series that replaces the RPU-200 series of PU monitors has two temperature recording channels (-5 to 105°C) and an optional pressure recording channel of 0 to 14 bar.
Available from AMS Technical Services , the monitor’s display allows immediate confirmation of correct pasteurisation after a run.
A recording time of nine hours continuously is possible and up to six shorter files can be saved together, thus allowing end-to-end working without returning to the laboratory.
Controls are simple and the display shows operating prompts and all results in a choice of languages.
The display can also show graphs and lists of recorded data. Data can be displayed in a choice of temperature and pressure units.
Standard results are calculated -- total PUs achieved, time accumulating PUs, time in holding zone, maximum values of all channels, etc. A new result shows the product temperature at the exit from the pasteuriser.
The instruments are compatible with existing Redpost printers and battery chargers, such as the RPC-50 and RPC-80.
A future product will be a built in infrared data transfer to optional hand held data receiver.
All sensor readings and the battery condition are displayed continuously. Use as a thermometer.
The PU calculation and other functions can be adjusted after inserting a "key" plug.
Calibration details, such as dates, certificate numbers, etc. can be held in the instrument to aid record keeping for ISO9000.
