AMS Instrumentation and Calibration
now stocks Mitchell Instrument's new chilled mirror hygrometer for low dew point reference measurements in the lab and industry.
The new hygrometer has been designed to provide fundamental, dependable measurements in a range of industrial applications where precise dry gas measurements are critical.
The company states that it is capable of measuring dry dew points precisely to -90°C (0.1ppmv) with no need for additional external cooling equipment, and has an accuracy of 0.1ºC.
A new optical system in the hygrometer detects small changes in moisture condensed on the mirror surface. According to AMS, this ensures high sensitivity and fast response when measuring low-dew points.
A high contrast LCD touch screen is also incorporated into the design, in order to make the hygrometer easier to operate and interrogate. USB or Ethernet connections are supplied as standard to enable remote operation and data logging via a PC or network.
