Some of these non-magnetic components for MRI systems include variable capacitors, chip capacitors, inductors/ baluns, hardware, disc capacitors, connectors, diodes and chip resistors.
Several types of multi-turn trimmer capacitors have been developed using air, glass, quartz, sapphire, and PTFE dielectrics for both low-voltage and high-voltage applications. Models can be specified with total capacitance as low as 1.2 pF or as high as 250 pF. These capacitors feature SRFs to 7.5 GHz and higher.
High-performance non-magnetic chip capacitors range in size from 0.055” x 0.055” to 0.38” x 0.38”, with capacitance values as low as 0.1 pF and beyond 5,100 pF. In addition to medium (100 V) and high voltage ratings (to 7200 V), Voltronics can supply ultra-high-voltage components for true, high-power systems.
Non-magnetic air-coil inductors and potted inductors are ideal for critical MRI system designs requiring high-purity materials. Voltronics also offers a variety of non-magnetic balanced-to-unbalanced transformers for challenging impedance-matching requirements.
Voltronics offers a wide range of non-magnetic hardware including pan-head screws, round-head screws, flat-head screws, and set screws of various lengths and sizes, based on their understanding of high-purity metals with no measurable magnetism.
Designed specifically for demanding magnetic resonance applications, these disc capacitors are produced with high-purity, non-magnetic leads, inks and ceramic materials to ensure high performance with no magnetic field disturbance.
Available as PC-mount plugs, straight jacks or right-angle jacks, these non-magnetic SMB connectors provide excellent electrical performance for MRI systems and applications. The connectors can also be supplied as completely non-magnetic cable assemblies.
PIN diodes, Schottky diodes and packaged, low-capacitance switch components are offered for critical applications requiring non-magnetic diodes and diode switches.
A complete family of non-magnetic chip resistors is available with resistance values from 0.01 to 100 kOhms and standard tolerances of 1, 2, and 5%.
