AFSystems will exhibit a range of products at BULKEX, including Cablevey tubular drag conveyors , Falcon transport systems, Falcon flex augers, Skov capacitive sensors and MixRite proportional pumps.
AFSystems, Australian and Asian distributor for Cablevey tubular drag conveyors, has announced the release of the 150mm (6") system to complement the current 50mm and 100mm systems.
The 150mm system, on show at BULKEX, can move a range of products including powders, pellets, dust, granules and flakes, with a capacity of up to 42 cubic metres per hour.
An ultra-flex cable totally enclosed in a stainless steel system gently conveys product without the use of air, helping reduce degradation and separation. The low running speed and dust proof system produces a clean, low noise factory environment
With a range of inlets and discharges the Cablevey system is suitable for bulk transport and multiple packaging lines. The use of sweep bends and mechanical corners also allow for a wide range of configurations to suit most requirements.
Falcon conveyors are highly versatile, being able to transport a wide range of materials, including meals, cereals, pellets, plastics and minerals. They can carry out tortuous vertical and horizontal circuits up to a length of 400 metres, with a delivery from 1 to 8 cubic metres per hour and extremely reduced power from 1 to 4hp.
The Falcon chain transport system, a world first, uses a chain conveyor that has plastic disks moulded at regular intervals. The chain conveyor moves the material in a continuous circuit, at high speed.
According to AFSystems, the flexibility of the chain enables it to be installed in almost any configuration. The chain is pulled through the circuit by a drive unit. Material is introduced into the system by a hopper with a vibrating wall that helps keep the material flowing.
The material can be discharged from the circuit at any desired location by holes placed in the bottom of the tube.
BULKEX 2006 Bulk Materials Handling Exhibition will be held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre from September 25-27.
