ADT Security have extended their portfolio of Sensormatic products with the addition of Sensor-Ink Mini tag - a durable yet cost effective theft deterrent. The Sensormatic Sensor-Ink Mini tag is a small, lightweight tag designed to be used on a wide variety of materials from thick denim to delicate lace.
Sensor-Ink Mini tag consists of a vial enclosed in a high impact ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) plastic housing to withstand everyday handling. The vial contains a non-freezable, non-toxic, non-flammable, aggressive ink, which leaves a permanent stain on a garment once broken.
The vial is broken by a revolutionary eyelet tack, which uses an open head to surround the vial and when tampered with cracks it disperses red ink onto the product.
Additionally, Sensor-Ink Mini tag features a distinctive and highly visible written warning designed to further deter thieves.
Sensor-Ink Mini tag has been specifically designed so that it can either be incorporated into a retailer’s existing Sensormatic Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) system or employed as a stand alone product using a clutch or clamp locking mechanism.
According to Phil Brown, ADT Security’s National Retail Manager, this type of tagging is cost effective and beneficial for fashion retailers. As well as ruining the stolen item so that no benefit can be derived from stealing it, the tag also acts as a deterrent in the store with its highly visual warning.
