ADI Security Products is situated on the South Coast of NSW in the small coastal town of Gerringong, providing a range of products for locksmiths, gate fabricators, roller door distributors and architectural hardware distributors.
ADI Security Products manufacture locking devices for industrial, retail and public works establishments, together with devices to restrict the possibility of attack on locking devices.
For the gate fabricators ADI Security Products provide products enabling them to mount a locking device to gates and for roller door distributors it provide alternate locking devices to ensure that its product is secure.
ADI Security Products was originally founded by Brian and Peter Preddey as a necessary tool to assist locksmiths.
Both Brian and Peter were locksmiths and operated a large business, Preddey’s Locksmiths, in the southern districts of Sydney.
Being highly inventive, they found that there were applications in the industry which were not being covered by a product on the market and proceeded to create and have manufactured such products.
Chief among these was the Preddey Bolt which is still manufactured today in an updated form, under the name of the ADI Bolt.
With the company remaining small it is able to listen to its market and cater for small requests and modifications to allow its products to be used in one-off situations and satisfying many small wheels in the big picture.
ADI Security Products distribute through a small wholesaler network and are able to continually satisfy customer requests to produce products which are suitable to their needs.
