ADI Engineering Process & Heat Treatment provides technically and economically viable processing systems for industrial sectors including high purity water to speciality chemicals. ADI Engineering Process & Heat Treatment specialises in isothermal heat treatment process and in manufacturing corrosion heat and wear resistant castings.
The Isothermal heat treatment transforms the conventional ductile iron and improves its mechanical strength whilst making it stronger, lighter and impact resistant. Isothermal heat treatment from ADI Engineering Process & Heat Treatment also converts the conventional ductile iron to wear resistant material in cost effective manner when compared with castings, fabrications and forgings. This ADI is Austempered Ductile Iron. It is stronger per unit of weight. ADI is wear resistant steel and are easy to machine which has a potential of twenty percentages of cost savings.
ADI Engineering Process & Heat Treatment produces austempering process where after austempering an alloy is added to the iron for hardening the thicker section. Austempering process starts by heating the material at specific temperature. The benefits of Austempering include greatly improved impact resistance, improved high-cycle fatigue strength, superior wear resistance, and superior high-load fatigue strength.
Austenitizing is accomplished in a high temperature salt bath or a controlled atmosphere furnace, and austempering is done in liquid salt or oil. The temperatures and process times selected are a result of the desired grade of material and must be carefully controlled.
