ADI Engineering Process & Heat Treatment specialises in isothermal heat treatment process. Isothermal heat treatment transforms the conventional ductile iron and improves its mechanical strength whilst making it stronger, lighter and impact resistant. Isothermal heat treatment converts the conventional ductile iron to wear resistant material in cost effective manner when compared with castings, fabrications and forgings.
ADI is Austempered Ductile Iron which is stronger per unit of weight when compared to aluminium. ADI is wear resistant steel and are easy to machine which has a potential of twenty percentages of cost savings.
Austempering process starts by heating the material at specific temperature in austentite range like 1,500 to 1,750 degrees frahenheat or 815 to 955 degrees centigrade. It is then held there for sufficient time for saturating the austentite with carbon which is then cooled in such a way that formation of ferrite or pearlite is avoided. ADI Engineering Process & Heat Treatment produces austempering process where after austempering an alloy is added to the iron for hardening the thicker section.
