E250 range of latching relays are ideal for applications where a simple method of sequencing is required.
ABB Australia , a power and automation technology group introduce the E250 range of latching relays (also known as stepping relays) that offer convenient changeover of contact position after an impulse signal from a pushbutton or similar.
The range utilises a standard DIN rail mounting format. The position of the contacts will switch in response to each pulse sent to the coil via normally open pushbuttons or as part of a control circuit. The advanced design of the mechanism allows the coil to withstand a “button stuck” condition without damaging the coil. Operations of up to 250 pulses per minute are possible with the E250 range. The E250 latching relays also provide a manual control lever that allows simple indication of the contact position.
Contact configurations of 1 NO, 1 NO + 1 NC, 2 NO, 1 CO and 2 CO are available, with ratings of 16A and 32A. A variety of coil voltages in both AC and DC is available to cover most control circuit applications. The coils have a dual AC/DC voltage rating with a DC/AC ratio of 0.5:1.
