ABB expands low voltage factory

ABB, the leading power and automation technology group is pleased to announce that due to rapid growth over the last twelve months, ABB Australia’s low voltage factory in Moorebank NSW has been expanded by 400sqm to accommodate current and future demand.

The Moorebank factory provides industry in both Australia and the Asia Pacific region with low voltage switchgear, motor control centres and portable prefabricated substations. Some of the key industries ABB serves from this facility include paper, process, chemical, automotive, oil and gas, petrochemical and mining.

The expansion has necessitated the recruitment of additional engineering project managers as well as increases in overall engineering resources. The expansion will also help to ensure that ABB’s solid reputation for on-time delivery, which has been forged over many years of operation, will continue in the future.

The Moorebank factory is ISO 9001 accredited and within a matter of weeks will have obtained ISO 14001 accreditation. The factory is also a Centre of Excellence for regional support in Smart Control Systems within Australia and the Asia Pacific region.
