ABB Australia is exhibiting its latest solutions at AusRAIL PLUS 2011 being held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre in Brisbane on November 22-24.
The world-leading power and automation technology group, ABB is presenting its comprehensive range of product systems and solutions used in urban, conventional and high-speed rail applications and railway infrastructure at AusRAIL PLUS 2011.
ABB will also be launching the latest gas insulated switchgear in the Australian market. Designed specifically for railway traction systems, the ZX1.5-R switchgear is part of ABB’s well proven ZX1 family of switchgears.
Key benefits of the SF6 insulated switch gears include a compact footprint, maximum flexibility for railway AC systems by providing a reliable power supply as well as enclosed live parts to minimise maintenance requirements and enhance operator safety.
ABB will also showcase its new offerings in rail information technology following the acquisition of Mincom earlier this year. Mincom establishes ABB as the world’s leading provider of enterprise asset management (EAM) software and services, further enhancing the Group’s position in the public transport and infrastructure industry.
The ABB portfolio covers complete power supply systems and control systems for rail networks as well as traction motors and converters in addition to FACTS (flexible alternating current transmission systems) and network management solutions such as SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition).
ABB is presenting their latest modular solutions for railway applications using augmented reality (AR) technology on a large high definition screen, employing interactive 3D images for delegates to experience ABB’s products and systems.
