ABB Australia announces a new five-year agreement between ABB and Shell for the supply of low voltage switchgear, motor control centres and related services.
Leading power and automation technology group, ABB signed the five-year agreement with Shell to become its global single-source supplier for low voltage switchgear and motor control centres.
According to Tarak Mehta, head of ABB’s Low Voltage Products division, the global agreement demonstrates ABB’s commitment to provide premium low voltage solutions and services creating value for a global company such as Shell, which is focused on safety, reliability and energy efficiency.
He adds that ABB switchgear designs are backed by over 40 years of experience, and have been installed in some of the world’s most harsh environments.
ABB’s assured product reliability as well as their focus on supporting their customers’ service needs were key to the company securing this important contract.
The five-year global agreement between ABB and Shell comes with an option for an additional five-year extension, and covers the sales, support and service of low voltage switchgear and motor control centres across both IEC and NEMA geographies for greenfield and brownfield sites.
