ABB Australia , suppliers of industrial robots, will demonstrate the IRB 4600 robot during the National Manufacturing Week. The new IRB 4600 robot is an accurate, low-weight, medium-sized robot with a 20kg to 60kg payload. Its design means that the compact IRB 4600 robot could cut cycle times.
National Manufacturing Week will also see the Australian launch of TrueView, a vision-guided robotic system which can see and react to changes in an industrial work environment.
TrueView robotic system enables ABB Australia robots to precisely locate the grip points of a disoriented object within a 3D space.ABB Australia will also be showing:
- SafeMove, a software and electronics-based system that complies with international safety standards and enables operators and robots to work together without compromising safety.
- MultiMove, which allows up to four robots to be synchronised by equipping each robot with its own drive module and share a common controller.
- Remote service, an advanced technology in robot servicing enables a robot to automatically alert a central database through wireless GPRS technology and the internet if there is an error. The alert then triggers an SMS to ABB Australia on-call service engineer who can immediately access a detailed data and error log and quickly identify the exact fault and respond appropriately.
