A Noble & Son Ltd (Nobles) has launched its Tech Inspect lifting equipment data management system after extensive testing.
Nobles has partnered with specialist asset management software firm Hardcat to develop a system specifically designed in Australia to suit the unique compliance and asset management needs of Australian customers.
The data management system addresses the need for a simple, secure, online-based system to register and record the results of lifting equipment inspections.
National Products and Marketing Manager for Nobles, Ian Jongen says that Tech Inspect is a customised version of the well established and robust asset management software product from Hardcat.
The existing Hardcat application has been specifically configured to the database to suit lifting, rigging, height safety and offshore lifting equipment in the Australian market.
Additionally, Hardcat has developed a user-friendly web interface so that end users can interact with the data in the Hardcat database.
Each asset is bar-coded and recorded or updated on handheld PDA units, making the whole system paperless.
Data can be accessed easily as it is available live online 24/7 from the day after the inspection.
Various functions are provided in the web interface including sorting and filtering criteria. PDF reports can be generated based on the chosen criteria and test certificates or other documents can be attached to each asset record for download.
Nobles is a leading manufacturer and distributor of wire rope, rigging and lifting equipment.
