Available now from 4B Australia , the RLI Shaker is a rotary paddle switch used to detect high and low levels of bulk granular solids in bins, tanks and silos.
Also suitable for detecting plug conditions in spouts where long life and fail safe detection is required, the RLI Shaker rotary paddle switch utilises a unique stepper motor drive to rotate clockwise, then counter clockwise, and then to shake to shed excess material build up. If the rotation of the paddle is impeded at any time by the bulk material, the electronic circuit provides a signal for level indication or control.
The RLI Shaker rotary paddle switch uses fewer mechanical parts compared to standard rotary level indicators. It requires no gearbox or clutch ast the stepper motor drive is directly coupled to the output shaft and cannot be damaged by forced or backwards rotation. Moreover, an adjustable torque control allows one unit to cover many different densities of material, providing easy on site calibration without having to change paddles.
Key features of RLI Shaker rotary paddle switches include:
- shaking action for shedding material build up
- user adjustable torque control
- direct stepper motor drive
- no clutch and no gearbox
- failsafe rotation detection
- glass fibre reinforced nylon housing
- vertical extensions to 2m wire rope
- built in adjustable timer.
