3M Microbiology provide quality cleaning solutions. Residues remaining on surfaces after inadequate cleaning systems provide nutrients for spoilage or pathogenic bacteria to thrive, which could lead to product contamination. The 3M™ Clean-Trace™ Surface Testing Instruments are a rapid, simple and reliable solution to monitor biological contamination on surfaces in real time, helping you to manage your cleaning and protect your customers.  

How it works
3M™ Clean-Trace™ Surface ATP Tests assess cleaning and hygiene standards and procedures by measuring the amount of adenosine tri-phosphate (ATP) in a sample. These are used with the 3M™ Clean-Trace™ NG Luminometer - a handheld, lightweight instrument with simple menu-driven operation and high data storage capacity for maximum convenience.   

This system, together with the powerful 3M™ Clean-Trace™ Data Trending Software, enable the user to track the effectiveness of cleaning equipment and regimes, easily identify problem areas and help drive continuous improvement in sanitation programs.   

These products can be used with minimal training and easily integrated into your HACCP program. Also, fast, tangible results can assist in teaching staff the importance of cleaning, helping to develop a “hygiene culture”.

Also available from 3M are the 3M™ Clean-Trace™ Surface Protein tests, which detect protein and reducing agents on surfaces and in hard to reach areas.  A colour change provides a visual indication of the level of cleanliness, with no instrumentation required.
